* How-to: Queue email for future delivery *

Email does not have to be sent immediately, it can be queued and sent at a later date, and time. An example might be queuing reminders for your senior staff about their monthly reports.  You could create a generic email, copy it two more times and queue all three so that you have reminders automatically sent for the next quarter.  Here are step-by-step examples for Outlook, and Eudora; two popular email clients.  If you have a different email client, check Help under Queuing.

Outlook After creating your email, select Options, then under Delivery Options, select Do not deliver before:.  Now you can select a date and time for your email to be sent.

Eudora
After creating your email, hold down the Shift key while selecting Queue.  The Change Queuing window should open, select the On or After option, and enter a date and time.

Of course you could impress your manager with how late you are working, and queue an email for late at night, or weekend delivery.  But you might be surprised by receiving a reply at that time...
