Here are a few easy tips that can help spruce up the appearance of your Excel file.

Color Worksheet Tabs
When you have many Worksheet Tabs, it can be helpful to differentiate those tabs by giving them unique colors.  Right click on an open Worksheet Tab (Sheet1), select Tab Color, choose a color, then click OK.

Hide Worksheet Tabs
Sometimes we may have a worksheet that may have calculations, notes or other information that the author wants to maintain, but the user doesn't need to see.  With the Worksheet open that you wish to hide, select Format/Sheet/Hide.  Now the user won't see that Worksheet.

Rename Worksheet Tabs
Instead of Sheet1, Sheet2, Sheet3, etc. you can rename a Worksheet Tab by right clicking on the Worksheet Tab, select Rename, and then type a descriptive name, i.e. WW Sales, Office Phone List, etc. and then press Enter.
